We are currently working on a really exciting opportunity for a Business Manager to join a legal resourcing business for a leading global law firm and play a critical role in the early establishment and growth of the business. You will be working closely with the Managing Director for Asia Pacific and your remit will include both commercial and operational responsibilities, as well as the opportunity to be involved in internal business development, client relationship management and consultant community building.


You will be responsible for establishing the business within Singapore and so will be involved with strategic developments, market research and advisory activities as well as having operational and administrative responsibilities. You will lead on maintaining market and competitor pricing intelligence and developing rates models for consultant fees and client billing. You will also be tracking commercial arrangements, managing all elements of the operational side of the business and implementing the client development plan. A key focus of this role will also be on the effective sourcing of new consultants and support on strategic recruitment initiatives.


In order to successfully apply for this role, you will need excellent communication skills with strong customer facing experience. You will need to have previous experience of managing recruitment processes accompanied with a strong analytical ability and sound judgement. An appreciation of the implications of working within a ‘start-up’ would be beneficial as would an understanding of the wider Asia Pacific region both from a cultural and business perspective. You will also need strong literacy and numeracy skills with ideally some previous experience of working on contract negotiations on a win/win outcome.
